It is with much regret that I am letting everyone know that Cindy O’Quinn (Mom) has suffered multiple injuries to her spine since moving to California in September.

Due to the extent of damage, the surgeon has advised her against travel. The risk of paralysis is too high. The slightest bit of turbulence could be detrimental.

She has moved into an Air B & B near the hospital, where she awaits surgery to her cervical spine. The disc between C 6-7 is pushing into her spinal cord.

Cindy will be placed in rehab for about a month following surgery. Afterwards she will return to the Air B & B.

The surgeon advises against flying for a minimum of two months postoperatively.

Many of you in the horror community have met Cindy. She is one of the kindest people around. Always uplifting, helping, and supporting others.

Those of you who have grown up with Cindy already know the kindhearted person she is.

As you can imagine the costs of the Air B & B & living expenses are high but much cheaper than a hotel.

Even with insurance, she will be left with a hefty debt after the 2 ER trips, ambulance, urgent care visits, CT scan, MRI’s, nerve study, consult for epidural, labs, and other appointments to get clearance for surgery.

The ER bill for initial spine injury is over $10,000. Trip 2 after second injury is over $64,000.
