Helping "Cielito"

I am doing this fundraiser to help raise funds for a very special person who has such a big heart and has done so much in our community.

On October 12, Cielo, or as I call her “Cielito” lost her husband Enrique Vergara, to a long battle with cancer with bone metastasis. Enrique battled with prostate cancer for more than 5 years. His cancer unfortunately was a medical negligence. The loving husband, father and grandfather, went to heaven giving his 1000% for his family and himself.

He was very courageous and accepted what came his way. Dedicated and admirable Enrique came to Canada in 2001 and worked very hard to bring his family to a country of opportunities. Enrique never said “no” to help in the community. You would see him helping his family, strangers, helping everyone who asked him for a hand. He was Cielito’s #1 supporter in her children dance group “Ritmo y Café”. He was always by her side, they were twin souls who provided each other strength and comfort and were together until the last minute.

The last 3 months of life were very difficult and challenging for Enrique as well as Cielito and their family.

My goal is to raise funds to help Cielito cover the expenses that have incurred with Enrique’s illness. The Hard-worker and dedicated Enrique had to stop working leaving Cielito as the only source of income. This admiring couple has done so much for everyone in the community that this fundraiser is a way of thanking them and supporting Cielito during this difficult time.

Any help will be greatly appreciate it. Cielito deserves this and so much more.

Estoy haciendo esta recaudación de fondos para ayudar a una persona muy especial que tiene un gran corazón y ha hecho mucho en nuestra comunidad.

El 12 de octubre Cielo, o como la llamo “Cielito” perdió a su esposo Enrique Vergara, después de una larga batalla contra el cáncer con metástasis ósea. Enrique luchó contra el cáncer de próstata durante más de 5 años. Su cáncer, lamentablemente, fue negligencia médica. El amoroso esposo, padre y abuelo, fue al cielo dando el 1000% por su familia y por si mismo.

El era muy valiente y aceptaba lo que siempre se le presentaba. Enrique, un hombre muy dedicado y admirado por muchos, llegó a Canadá en 2001 y trabajó muy duro para traer a su familia a un país de oportunidades. Enrique nunca decía "no" a ayudar en la comunidad. Lo veias ayudando a su familia, extraños, ayudando a todos los que le pidieron una mano. Fue el fan #1 de Cielito en su grupo de baile infantil "Ritmo y Café". Él siempre estuvo a su lado, eran almas gemelas que se brindaban fuerza y se apoyaban el uno al otro estando juntos hasta el último minuto.

Los últimos 3 meses de vida fueron muy difíciles y desafiantes tanto para Enrique como para Cielito y su familia. Mi objetivo es recaudar fondos para ayudar a Cielito a cubrir los gastos en los que ha incurrido con la enfermedad de Enrique. Un trabajador incansable, Enrique, tuvo que dejar de trabajar a raíz de su enfermedad, dejando a Cielito como única fuente de ingresos. Esta admirable pareja ha hecho tanto por todos en la comunidad que esta recaudación de fondos es una forma de agradecimiento y de apoyo a Cielito durante este momento difícil.

Cualquier ayuda será grandemente agradecida. Cielito se merece esto y mucho más.
