Donation protected
My name is Mike McGetrick and my co-founder is Gale Peterson.
We’re reaching out on behalf of Chuck Evans, a Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher in America Alumni, whose contributions to the world of golf instruction have impacted thousands over the years.
Today, Chuck is facing the most difficult challenge of his life—and he needs our help.
Medical Challenges
Chuck is currently battling a series of life-threatening health conditions that have drastically changed his life:
Stage Four Renal Failure
COPD, Emphysema, and Pulmonary Fibrosis
Level Four Heart Disease
These serious illnesses have left Chuck unable to work, drive, or lead a normal, independent life. He now receives nursing care at home three days a week, along with physical therapy twice a week, just to maintain basic functionality.
Financial Situation
Despite his lifetime of hard work and achievements, Chuck is now struggling to cover his essential living and medical expenses.
Monthly income: $1,704 (Social Security)
Monthly living expenses: $2,700
Medical costs: (Ongoing and increasing)
Debt: $42,000 in credit cards filed under bankruptcy due to COVID-related business losses and health setbacks
Chuck has applied for VA disability benefits, but it could take up to six months for a decision. If approved, the monthly benefit could be around $4,000 tax-free. However, that’s not guaranteed—and Chuck needs support now.
How You Can Help!
We’ve set up this GoFundMe campaign to raise $75,000 to help cover:
Immediate and ongoing medical care
Daily living expenses
Temporary support until VA benefits are approved
