Hello, my name is Annie and I’m fundraising to help out chu Canh and co Thanh with funds to buy furniture for their new home.
On the evening of April 30th, a multi-alarm fire broke out in Dorchester in their home where they have been living for the past 29 years.
Chu Canh and co Thanh are refugees who came to America after the end of the Vietnam War on April 30, 1975. They came empty-handed with the hope of giving their kids a better life. They work very hard to raise both of their kids and always want them to be good people and give back to the community.
I am raising funds to help them recover from this tragedy, and all donations will go towards buying furniture. Their children are also helping them purchase items they need and are currently looking for a new place for them to live in Dorchester (the parents do not want to live with their kids and rather be independent). They will definitely get renter insurance at their next place. It is something they did not know that existed and are now telling their friends about it.
Any amount you are willing to donate, big or small, is sincerely appreciated during this time.
