Our family is reaching out during an incredibly difficult time. On February 27th, 2026, Chino suffered an ischemic stroke. The stroke has forced him to step away from his work while he begins a long road of rehabilitation to address his loss of mobility, speech, and cognitive function.
Chino is a hardworking husband, father, and small business co-owner who has always taken pride in providing for his family. Together with his wife, Diana, they run a self-owned business, which has been their sole livelihood and a big part of their lives for years. Because their work depends on their ability to be hands-on every day, this unexpected medical emergency has made it impossible for him to continue working while he focuses on recovery.
Right now, his days are filled with hospital care, rehabilitation, and therapy as he works toward regaining strength and independence. While we are hopeful about his progress, recovery from a stroke takes time, patience, and extensive therapy.
Although Diana is attempting to operate their small business, provide daily caregiver support to Chino, and be a mom for their children, the sudden loss of income has placed a heavy strain on the family. We are asking for support to help cover essential monthly expenses such as housing, utilities, groceries, gas, and out-of-pocket medical expenses while Chino focuses fully on healing.
Any contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference for their family during this time. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page and sending positive thoughts to Chino and his family would also mean the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support as Chino works toward recovery.
