⛰️ Our Welsh Mountain & Underground Challenge for Neema Village
This April, Matt and I are stepping completely out of our comfort zones to take on a huge physical and mental challenge across Wales - all to raise money and awareness for Neema Village, an incredible organisation based in Tanzania that is very close to my heart.
From 23rd September to 23rd October, I’ll be travelling to Neema Village to volunteer for a month. A new country, a completely different environment, and far outside anything I’ve ever done before but something I feel deeply passionate about.
Neema Village provides a safe and loving home for abandoned, orphaned and vulnerable babies. They also support women in crisis, offer emergency medical care, provide education support, and work within local communities to keep families together wherever possible. They don’t just offer short-term help, they change lives long-term.
The Challenge
Three mountains in three days (with a rest day in between) feels massive! especially stepping onto my very first mountain not knowing what lies ahead. It’s exciting, daunting, and slightly terrifying all at once!
Here’s what we’re taking on:
• 20th April – Pen y Fan (886m / 2,907 ft)
• 21st April – Cader Idris (893m / 2,930 ft)
• 23rd April – Snowdon (1,085m / 3,560 ft)
• 25th April – Go Below Underground Adventures Go below Extreme – heading deep underground for one of the UK’s most extreme subterranean adventures.
Three mountain climbs. Four intense challenge days. Countless steps.
There will be steep ascents, aching legs, unpredictable Welsh weather, and moments where we’ll both have to dig deeper than we think we can. This won’t be easy — but that’s exactly the point.
When the climbs get tough and our legs start burning, we’ll be thinking about the children and families at Neema Village. We’ll be thinking about the babies who need food, shelter, medical care and safety. We’ll be thinking about the women being supported through crisis. That’s what will keep us moving forward.
❤️ Why Your Support Matters
If you’re able to sponsor us — whether it’s £5 or £50 — it truly means more than you know.
Every donation will go directly towards helping provide:
• Food
• Medical care
• Safe shelter
• Essential daily support
For the babies and families Neema Village cares for every single day.
And if you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much. The more people who see it, the more awareness we can raise. A simple share could help this reach someone who is able to support.
Knowing we have your support behind us will help us keep putting one foot in front of the other — especially when the mountains feel very steep (which they definitely will!).
Thank you so much for backing us on this journey. It genuinely means the world to us.

Important Transparency Notice
All funds raised through this page will be paid directly to me and will be used to personally purchase specialist items, sensory resources and essential supplies here in the UK for children with additional needs at Neema Village ahead of my volunteer trip in September–October.
I am in communication with Neema Village to ensure the items purchased are appropriate and genuinely needed. I will share updates showing what has been bought so you can see exactly how your donations are being used.
If there are any remaining funds after purchasing the agreed supplies, these will be donated directly to Neema Village to support their ongoing work with vulnerable babies, children and women in crisis.
Thank you for trusting me and for being part of this in such a meaningful way.
