Helping Cheri during her Chemo
As many of you know my sister is a teacher in San Diego California. Since Cheri, like many teachers, only works part of the year -- we are trying to help ensure that she does not get into financial trouble as she is undergoing chemo.
As some of you know, Cheri has been struggling with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) for some time. Sadly, CLL can sometimes lead to more problematic cancers -- and this happened in Cheri's case. About a month ago she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia -- requiring her to undergo emergency chemo to combat the disease.
I have already asked many of you for your prayers -- and I am grateful that these prayers have at least been partially answered -- as it turns out that I am a matched donor for her -- but she has a long way to go in the healing process and I want to be sure that she is not worrying about anything besides getting well.
Thanks for however you can help.
And thanks especially for your prayers. She needs prayers for strength, prayers for her to eat sufficiently, and prayers to keep her spirits up.
Thank you again!
