Cecil got out of the hospital a couple of days ago and returned home. He’s doing ok. I was visiting with him in the hospital and we had a long chat. While Cecil is recovering from his seventh, ya 7, hip surgery is bad enough , he is going through a really tuff time in other ways. Cecil entered into a business arrangement a while back with the promise of retiring after 5 years. Two weeks before his surgery this deal went really bad and as a result Cecil is in a very bad financial situation. Cecil would never ask for help but I’ve never seen him this low. All I can ask is that , especially for people from Canso, you think about and remember all the people that he has helped over the years and now he really needs his friends to help him out. I see there are fund raisers in canso as well as the one at the Capital sports bar on the 24th and a few folks suggested a go fund me.Please try to support him when he needs it the most.Its time to help him out the way that he helped so many other folks.

Cecil really needs to know who his real friends are at this point in his life, it’s a really bad time.

Cecil also asked me to mention that Christine Campbell is going to stop in to the benefit concert for a few tunes as a special guest on her way to a show at Oak island resort.

Cecil has a lot on his plate and a lot of questions about his future. Let’s try to take some of the worry off of him
