As some of you may know, my mom Cathy, has been in the hospital since the end of October.

Initially they though she had ulcerative colitis but as time went on and she was in and out of one hospital and back in at St Mary’s a week later they discovered that she had 2 perforations in her small intestine, in which of course she had to have surgery for, they have finally diagnosed her with Crohn's disease.

She’s had an IPN nutritional treatment and is still currently on it because she can’t get regular food down.

In addition to all the stomach and intestinal issues she developed an infection in one of her legs where they ended up having to cut some of the infected area out and she will eventually need a skin graph when it’s healed enough to do so.

it has been quite the journey and still a ways to go, but throughout it all my mom has been such a fighter and has for the most part kept a positive attitude. When she’s able to get discharged from the hospital she will have to go to a rehab for some physical therapy because of muscle atrophy.

Anything will help even if it’s just keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Those of you that know my mom know that she would be saying thank you, thank you, thank you very much
