Helping Cassie beat breast cancer!

Donation protected
This October completely changed my life, a doctors checkup revealed that my wife has breast cancer. We recently lost my older brother to lung cancer, so this has all been really scary for all of us. She was told at first that having a double mastectomy would almost certainly take care of our problem. That was a tough pill for us to swallow seeing as she is only 28 years old. After the procedure they removed a lymph node which informed us that the cancer had moved which means she will now need chemotherapy and targeted radiation. She will receive four different chemos every 3 weeks for 18 weeks after that it will be 2 different chemos every three weeks for the remainder of the year. This woman is more than just my wife, she is my best friend, the mother of our two young children, she is my absolute world. They are the very reason I wake up every morning. I am so worried about her I feel sick. These babies need their mother and I need my wife. I would give her my last breath if it meant she got to see our babies grow up. We live 45 mins from her infusion center and it's quickly becoming a financial burden with the co-pays, fuel to and from her doctors appointments. My wife is very confident in her team of doctors and her treatment plan, but we didn't expect radiation and chemo to be such a lengthy process. I was laid off at the beginning of October and our insurance will be lapsing soon. The chemo alone is way to expensive to pay for out of pocket. My union will allow us to keep our insurance going but for the monthly payment of 1200 dollars. Having to be her and the kids primary caregiver I won't be able to seek employment at this time. We have always paid our way through life and provided for our family. I've never asked for help along the way. I guess too prideful. Pride will not stand in my way on this one. I wouldn't wish this nightmare on anyone especially during the Holidays, but please for a moment put yourselves in our shoes and imagine this helpless feeling. At this moment we are praying for others to lend a hand in our time of need. If you can find it in your hearts to help to keep our insurance going so that we can get this beautiful woman back on her feet, my family will forever be in your debt. We are also asking for as many prayers as we can get. God bless each and everyone of you reading this and we hope the holidays find you and yours healthy and happy- Robert Bailey
