Cadence McGoldrick, my grand niece (living with severe learning and physical disabilities related to a rare genetic condition - FOXG1 Syndrome) passed after a tragic accident on Christmas day.

Despite Cadence's considerable limitations, she touched those who came in contact with her with a contagious smile. She was deeply loved by everyone who had the pleasure of spending any time with her.

Her parents tirelessly supported and advocated for her through the last 20 years. Due to her condition they could not obtain life insurance and are now facing expenses related to laying her to rest which are exorbitant in the NYC area.
