My name is Eric Garcia and I am a Marine Corps veteran trying to help the people in my community. The fires in California have destroyed lives, homes, communities, and hope. My family and I have already donated hygiene items, school supplies, and gifts cards but are looking to do more. So we are reaching out to you.
With your help, we will purchase food and gas gift cards so those affected by the fires can get a warm meal and fuel for their cars or campers. The gift cards will be taken to local Fresno County churches and evacuation centers where they will be distributed to those affected by the fires. Many people have been evacuated or lost their homes and may not have access to a kitchen. So, together we can make sure that they do not have to worry about how they will feed their families.
Some gift cards will also be given to local fire stations in Fresno County to show our appreciation to the brave firefighters who are risking their lives for our communities. Everything donated will go directly to purchase the gift cards and will not be used for anything else. The gift cards will be purchased in $25 increments and any uneven amounts at the end of the fundraising will be directly donated to the California Red Cross for fire victims.
