Hi my name is Helen!

I am the youngest daughter of Bruce and MaryRose.

as many of you know my dad has been sick since a little before April.

Originally we found out my dad had bladder cancer, since then it’s been a snowball of medical issues. This has caused my dad to no longer be able to work.

A very long story short my dad is currently dealing with many doctors for many reasons, orthodontic surgeon, hematology, urology, orthopedic, etc. the most important right now is my dad is in need of a bone marrow transplant. He’s getting all the work up, and prep to be able to begin this. He has started a medication to help with pain, and his enlarged spleen and more. Tuesday he returns to his hematologist to discuss some more recent test results and to discuss the beginning of chemo on Wednesday.

There is a plan in place with his team of doctors here in Rhode Island and Boston. Once he is ready he will have to go to Boston for a few months. This will require my mom to find a temporary place to live during this time.

This has been a continuous roller coaster ride for all involved, with non stop appointments, hospital stays, tests and more.

With my dad being out of work he was the financial provider for himself and my mom. My mom has not left his side and is his 24/7 full time care. She’s been tough through all of this and staying on top of appointments, medication changes, test and procedures…. You name it. They’re both exhausted beyond belief.

My hope is to help them with some financial relief.

Any funds raised will go directly to my parents to assist with medical bills, gas, bills and any other needs.

My parents have both been hard working and known for being there and helping anyone who needed it. I’m hoping we can all can return the favor.

Anything helps even a share, thoughts and prayers.

My dad has touched so many lives and has always been one to never stop…. He’s got an army of support behind him.
