Help Brooke Recover from a Tragic Shooting
Born and raised in Shasta County, Brooke has always been a resilient and compassionate person. But on October 4, her life was forever changed when she became one of five people injured in a tragic shooting that claimed two lives. She was shot in the leg, shattering her tibia, and underwent reconstructive surgery, which included placing a rod in her leg. Since then, Brooke has been unable to bear weight on her leg and faces a long recovery. She won’t be able to begin physical therapy or put weight on her leg until December, meaning months without the ability to work and countless physical and emotional challenges ahead.
Adding to her heartache, this year has been a devastating one for Brooke emotionally. She had already lost 2 people close to her this year due to illness and now another dear friend in this recent tragedy. Despite her own pain and hardship, Brooke has shown incredible strength and resilience in the face of unimaginable loss.
Currently, Brooke is struggling to make ends meet, as she cannot access disability benefits yet. She urgently needs help to cover her rent, utilities, and other essential bills to keep her life together while she heals. Without support, she faces the added stress of mounting financial worries on top of her physical and emotional recovery.
By donating, you’ll help Brooke focus on healing without the burden of financial strain. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference and bring Brooke one step closer to rebuilding her life. Your generosity will allow her to recover with dignity and resilience.
Thank you for standing with Brooke during this incredibly challenging time. She will be receiving 100% of the funds raised through this campaign.
