Brent is recovering from a brain injury. He suffered a brain bleed and was brought by ambulance to Essentia hospital in Duluth on January 9th. He underwent 2 procedures to drain the massive hematoma sitting on his brain and to fix the site of injury. He was in the hospital for 7 days related to this injury. On January 23rd he suffered 2 massive seizures at home. Hayward planned to life-flight him back to Duluth but due to weather needed to bring him by ground. He was intubated and put on a ventilator. After the tube was removed, he then had 2 more massive seizures while in the hospital requiring him to be put back on a ventilator again. He is currently still intubated and resting.

Brent’s medical bills are adding up and will continue to do so as he leaves the hospital and needs to attend outpatient treatment.

He has been out of work for a while and will continue to be for an undetermined amount of time. The travel and lodging costs have also started to add up for his family as he is not at home and they want to be there with him during his stay. We want Brent to focus on his recovery and not the stress of paying his medical bills and everyday living expenses when he gets home.
