Helping brave little Matteo

My name is Casey and I’m fundraising for my cousin Justin, his wife Andy and their beautiful, brave 1 year old boy Matteo. This week their world was turned upside down when Matteo was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia B.

On Tuesday Matteo was airlifted from Canberra hospital to the Sydney Children’s hospital at Randwick. He will stay there for at least the next 6 months for chemotherapy and treatment.

As a parent, the first thing I asked myself is what can I do to help them? Then, what would I want if it were me? Simply, I wouldn’t want to leave my child’s side. So, first I want Matteo to get better. Second I want to raise enough money so that Justin and Andy can both be there for him, in Sydney while he gets better.

What they are going through is simply unimaginable. Any amount will help them to relieve the financial stress of covering accommodation in Sydney in close proximity to Randwick hospital, their mortgage and being off work. Forget flowers and gifts and let’s give them a little bit of peace in this chaos. Love you Justin, Andy and Matteo
