Helping Braddah Shaun

Aloha,

My name is Keala Simeona-Whitney. I am the wife of Shaun Keola Whitney, and I am going to give a quick glimpse into Shaun's story.
Shaun Whitney, hailing from Makiki, went to Lincoln Elementary, Stevenson Middle and then finally, graduated from Roosevelt High School in '96. He likes to mention that he was an All-Star athlete and THE homecoming King.
He is father to Kayla, Austin, Zane, Hiapo, Hiilani and Hanale. & Papa to Kingston. We have been married since November of '18.
Shaun has worked for Aloha Air Cargo from July of '22, until January of this year (2024), when he was hospitalized for a minor heart attack. Following that hospitalization, Shaun was again hospitalized towards the ending of January '24, after having an infection in his arm from his previous stay. The infection turned from DVT (clotting in his deep veins), to PE (clotting in his lungs). During this hospital stay, Shaun's blood was being monitored, daily. The day before Shaun was released from the hospital, a biopsy was performed on his bone marrow. This is when it was discovered that Shaun now has Acute Myeloid Leukemia, an aggressive cancer in his blood.
After having gone through 1 round of chemo, it was found that Shaun still has leukemia cells in his blood. That being said, Shaun will now have to go through a more aggressive round of chemo, and another hospital stay (1 month). After his stay, pending good results, Shaun will then have to fly to California, where he will undergo stem cell transplant. This stay will be for a longer period (3 months), as he will need to be monitored closely by the transplant team to ensure the stems cells do their job.
If all goes well, the transplant will be Shaun's last step into full & complete recovery. In essence: "CANCER FREE!"
As we will need to be gone for a long period of time, and going through a lot of medical work, medical expenses and facility stays will add up. So any help is very much appreciated.
Mahalo ohana a hoa aloha♥️♥️
