Helping Brad After His Accident
Donation protected
Brad was in a motorcycle accident a couple weeks ago that resulted in a fractured tibia plateau as well as a fractured scaphoid bone in his wrist. He had a surgery the morning after the accident that involved the placement of an external fixator with rods placed in his femur and tibia. A week and a half later he underwent his second surgery to have the bone fragments put back in place with plates and screws as well as the use of a bone graft from donor bone to fill in the holes where there was no longer any bone present. At the same time he had a screw put in his wrist. The surgery lasted 7 hours but the surgeon was very happy with the results. He cannot bear-weight on his wrist or leg for 10 weeks while everything heals. He has some exercises that he does everyday and is able to get around on crutches with a platform to support his wrist. For longer distances, he needs to be in a wheel chair. Since he works in landscaping, he is currently out of a job. He had some money saved but that is almost gone. I am hoping to take a little stress off of him while he tries to heal by raising money for him to pay medical bills, car payments, and rent. I know that right now times are hard for everybody, but if you have anything that can help take some of his stress away, please feel free to help.
