Help Take the Bite of Biscuit's Cancer Costs

To know and love Katy Sandberg is to know and love Biscuit, her mini-me in fur form. Their energetic worlds revolve around each other, advancing way beyond pet owner and pup to the more apt mother and child. Like Katy, Biscuit is always on the move, prompting smiles and laughter wherever he goes. His charm (not to mention the cute little wiggle of his walk) is hard to resist, whether he's chasing and pummeling his beloved basketball, showing off his hand/paw-shaking skills, or leading the way on walks to all his favorite Chicago treat-filled hot spots, including Tails in the City, The Peninsula, and Superior's Sunny Side Up.

For a pair constantly in motion, Katy and Biscuit's world has come to a sudden halt with the sad news that our lovable little guy has been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. Formally known as adenocarcinoma of the thyroid gland, this malignant tumor can spread to other tissue and organs. Biscuit's 7cm tumor is scheduled to be surgically removed soon, at which time a scan will be done to determine if the cancer has metastasized. We all know Katy would do anything for Biscuit; that said surgery and follow-up medical care come at a steep price. As friends of our favorite duo, we've started this GoFundMe to not only help cover the costs related to this potentially life-saving surgery, but also give back and support a wonderful woman who always goes out of her way for everyone else.
