Helping Big Sur with his Medical Cost

Donation protected
Big Sur is a sweet, mellow older kitty. His caregiver, who does not have the means for medical costs, reached out to me for help, when she noticed a big hole in his cheek. I took Big Sur to the vet yesterday and they are not sure what the abscess in his cheek is from. The vet said it could be due to periodontal disease, scratching from fleas or possibly a BB pellet.

They gave Big Sur a long acting antibiotic shot, as well as cleaned the abscess, cleaned and medicated his ears as he had an infection, gave him revolution and pain medication. The only vet's office that could see him is a 24 hour emergency facility and his bill went up to $594.

Personally, I have been in rescue for over seven years, involved in TNR(Trap-Neuter-Return), rescuing cats and kittens and have seen a lot of heartbreak on the streets.  I have been an animal lover my whole life, and grew up with having dogs and cats. People in rescue and anyone that has a love for animals, react quickly, jump into a situation to do whatever you can, to help the animals and worry about the costs that may acquire, afterwards.  As a result of this, I am asking for help towards the cost of Big Sur's medical, so that if I come into another situation with a kitty that needs medical help, I am able to continue to help other kitties.

I have known Big Sur for several years, as I also help the caregiver with monthly food for her cats.  Big Sur has other outdoor kitties that he hangs out with, cuddles with, and have all been fixed through TNR, and a caring caregiver that does everything she can to let him know that he is loved, she just doesn't have the means for extra money to help with the costs of her kitties.

If you can help donate towards the costs for Big Sur, I sure would appreciate it.

**Update, Big Sur is going to need emergency dental work and teeth pulled. The doctors notes from VCA Valley said he has a tooth root abscess which is what caused the abscess through his cheek. He has stage 3 periodontal disease, oral disease.

Village Park Animal Hospital is willing to see him but not until June 6th but said I can call Daily to see if I can get him in sooner due to a cancellation. I will not know what the charges are until he seen, but I would imagine it's in an upwards of $800.

I am hoping to be able to raise the funds to cover at least part of his dental work, any donations are greatly appreciated❤
