In January 2021 our friend, George Melling was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

As with everything George does he his tackling this illness head on, and has the support of a fantastic family network and the wider reach of friends who will all play a part in helping George fight MND.

There are several fundraising events already in the making, ours is a dual challenge the Gruelling Yorkshire three peaks challenge which is 24.5 miles with a 1500m ascent. 

Then the Massive 140 mile coast to coast bike ride challenge both to be completed on 9th of July 2021. I know lots of people are already doing their bit in the background to support him.

This fund will be used to support George & his family to deal with the adjustments needed going forward and also to make some great memories.

There will also be a percentage of the money raised that will go to two fantastic charities, the MND Association and The Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN) where George is under Professor Shaw.
