Helping my son Benny in his Recovery
Donation protected
Hello my name is Adrienne and I’m the mother of Benny Ventresca II. On 1/19/2023 Benny was innocently driving home with food for himself. Decided to drive his motorcycle as he loved to ride down a road in Las Vegas where there isn’t much traffic as a joy ride. He was struck by a car as this teenager decided to not follow a stop sign and struck Benny over her car and thrown into the desert to lay there with serious broken bones. Benny was rushed to the UMC trauma center in Nevada, where he learned he had two broken clavicles, three fracture in his Sternum, a left severe break in his left arm, shattered knees and broken left foot. Benny underwent a 6 hour surgery to place pins and rods and metal plates to put everything back together. As many of you know my son suffers with a life long disability of Type one diabetes. These injuries puts him at a high risk of infection and a longer recovery. We are so grateful he’s alive and that his helmet saved his life. As he moves through his recovery Benny will be out of work for sometime. Benny like so many have a mortgage in a new home he purchased and car payments, now added to this injury is the worry’s how will I pay my bills and he will have astronomical medical and not be able to return to his job with no means to pay for his home he struggled to buy a year ago. Please I’m asking if we can donate to this fund to at least help him not worry about how he maintains living expenses while recovering from such a horrible experience and no doings of his own. To watch your child laying helpless in a bed and can’t wish it was or kiss and make better as moms do. This is the only way I know to help him to not have to add to him painful recovery.
