On Christmas Eve 2023, Ira Lou was born. She was healthy and absolutely fine until about 3 hours after she was born and then started having breathing difficulties. Tanner, Jacey and Ira got transferred to St. Mary's in Duluth and have been there ever since trying to figure out what is going on with Ira. She has had breathing trouble and is supported by oxygen, she has a nasal feeding tube due to weak swallowing muscles, and she has low muscle tone in a lot of other parts of her body. They have done many tests in Duluth and still don't know exactly what is going on or the cause. Jacey had a very healthy pregnancy after her first trimester, and doctors are baffled at the complexity of the issue at hand. Since they can't do anymore in Duluth, Ira Lou will be getting transferred down to the Children's Hospital in St. Paul where they can hopefully find some answers. This family really could use any kind of support at the moment, whether it be a prayer or some financial aid to help with medical or monthly expenses. All paid time through work has been used up or will be used up very soon, so anything helps. They aren't sure how much longer they will have to be gone, or when they will get to bring Ira Lou home.
