I am organising this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend, Dianne, and her family. Because GoFundMe is not available in the Philippines, I am helping manage this campaign so they can receive support during this critical time.

Baby Ella is only one month old and has been fighting for her life since the moment she was born.

Ella was born with CHARGE Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects multiple parts of her body, including her heart, eyes, nerves, ears, and her ability to feed and breathe on her own. She was taken to the NICU immediately after birth and has never left.

The most serious threat to Ella’s life is her heart. She was born with two congenital heart defects—Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Her heart became dangerously enlarged, and doctors confirmed she could not wait any longer for surgery.

On January 15, Ella underwent urgent open-heart surgery. During recovery, her heart stopped, and doctors performed CPR to save her. Since then, she has faced further complications, including seizures, possible infection, and worsening brain bleeding. She remains in critical condition in the NICU.

Ella has now been hospitalised for 54 days, with medical bills exceeding ₱2,037,911.52, not including professional fees. The family has exhausted all available resources.

We are trying to raise AUD 76,000 to help cover Ella’s life-saving surgery and ongoing medical care.
