Helping Ashley Fight Melanoma Cancer
Donation protected
We have a long road ahead of us and we need your support. At the end of last year, we learned Ashley's Cellular Blue Nevus Melanoma Cancer came out of remission more aggressively and became active again for the Fourth time. Ashley underwent surgery on her leg last year to remove a large amount of cancerous tissue, overlapping on multiple sites and was out of work for 4 weeks. Ashley is scheduled for surgery to this morning at the Pearlman Center in Philadelphia to remove yet another cancerous tumor. Since last year, Ashley has used a large amount of her PTO and incurred more than $35,000 in medical bills not covered by insurance. Her family and friends are doing their best to support her but as you all know, life doesn’t stop moving, basic necessities and bills still need paid. This type of Cancer is aggressive and does not respond to Chemo or Radiation resulting in immunotherapy and ongoing surgery is her only option for treatment at this time.
Our hope and faith has not wavered and we know Ashley is going to overcome this yet again. If you or a loved one have ever experienced the hardships of navigating cancer while simultaneously trying to remain hopeful, you know the struggles, mentally and physically. It takes an army to support our loved ones. From the bottom of my heart, I ask for your help to keep Ashley in the game and fighting.
Funds will be directly deposited in Ashley's personal Bank account and used for past and future medical bills not covered by insurance, any future costs for treatments not fully covered, medication, medical equipment, and financial support when her PTO runs out. Ashley has been doing her best to stay afloat and continues to work full-time, as taking FMLA is not a viable option at this point.
Ashley is a selfless loving person who continues to provide treatment for patients diagnosed with Substance Use Disorder as a clinical Therapist. She is a daughter, a sister, dear friend to many, and aunt to 4 beautiful nieces and nephews. She is the most selfless, humble, and compassionate person I have ever met! She is joy, love, light and Hope for so many. If you know Ashley, you know she is the last to ask for help and in many cases you would never know if she is struggling because she is too busy helping others. Any support you could provide will lessen her burdens and give her the motivation to keep fighting. Please continue to keep Ashley and her family in your prayers. We would love to thank everyone for the outpouring of love during this difficult time. We are more than hopeful Ashley will pull through this for the 4th time and with your support, we can make this happen! We love all of you!
