First off I wanna say thank you for everyone who’s here to read about my story.
2 weeks ago I got pulled over and my whole life changed for the worst…My mother gifted me a car 2 years ago which at the time I did not have the funds to transfer everything into my name, we got into an argument and she felt the need to report the car stolen which resulted in us having to abandon the vehicle that we were living in. We used all of the savings we had to transport our things from one storage unit to another, uhaul fees, hotels until we figured out what our next move was going to be and also food and transportation. The police told me if I was caught driving the vehicle again on public roads that it would be towed and I’d be arrested despite the fact I had the car for 2 years prior. It was in her name so that didn’t matter. She told me to figure it out and that she does not care what happened to us at that point. We then decided the best thing to do was to get a tent rather than pay for hotels every week $500-$700. Unfortunately one of my jobs is in escrow as a ramp agent and I have not been there for a month ( they have not reached out to me to give me a schedule at all.. Living in this tent has taken a toll on my physical and mental health and we’d love any help , support that we can receive. We don’t qualify for the ACNT program at Walmart because we both just started working there for about 20 days. We’d love to raise these funds for move in costs and rent savings. We do not want to continue the cycle of homelessness and want to set ourselves up for success to get ahead of bills instead of going back to where we started, in a tent. We have received so much love and support from my tiktok family and we hope that we can raise these funds to move on to the next chapter of our lives sooner and have a safe place to lay our heads!
