Helping April & Her Kids
Donation protected
On Christmas Day, April started having neck pain. By the morning of December 27th she was in the emergency room where she was intubated and admitted to the ICU on life support. A team of doctors and nurses worked around the clock to keep her alive. After speaking with her children about possible symptoms prior to Christmas, her medical team was able to find the source of a bacterial infection caused by streptococcus. Unknown and untreated, this infection got into her blood causing sepsis and toxic shock syndrome.
April is still in the ICU fighting. She remains on a ventilator and has not woken up yet, but she is making small positive baby steps every day. It is going to be a long road to recovery.
That being said, her three children are with family. They are loved and supported endlessly but could use some help. Rent, bills, living expenses, etc., as well as impending medical costs will be overwhelming. Any amount and prayers would be greatly appreciated.
