In the early morning hours of December 31st 2020 on New Years Eve an unfortunate accident had happened to our friend Antonella's apartment building. A fire had broke out at Seton Place on Pender Street in North Burnaby, and not only were a few suites damaged by the fire but some had significant smoke damage as well, resulting in Antonella losing all her belongings. Unfortunately 5 people were sent to hospital and out of those 5 people Antonella was one of them, she thankfully escaped her apartment building by jumping out of her bedroom window in her two story building, this is where the firefighters found her.Antonella is currently on a ventilator to help support her breathing and suffered significant burns to her hands and face including her mouth, eye lids and nose.
Antonella came to Canada a year and a half ago to work and set out her dreams and hopes of becoming a Permanent Resident and later a Canadian Citizen, and in time to later help bring her family to Canada. Not only is Antonella an extremely hard worker that has worked throughout the whole of the pandemic, but she is also a very determined woman that doesn't stop until she achieves her dreams.
We do not know the outcome of Antonella's recovery and what she may be needing to help support her in these next few months, but are asking if anyone can help support her in whatever she may need.
