Hello! My name is Arthur Xiong. Throughout my life, animation fascinated me. I grew up watching the original Transformers TV show with my dad and sister. It was an awesome experience. At the time, I just thought it looked cool. Learning more about the development process for these series showed me another side of my interests. The different parts of the pipeline to produce incredible works brought me closer to what I wanted to do with my creative gifts. All the aspects of a great scene make me passionate about and want to pursue my major in technical animation.

To further enhance my passion, I am going to the Savannah College of Art and Design. My first year was incredible! I got to meet so many inspirational leaders throughout all the faculty and the student body was amazing. During that time, I made a variety of contributions to the college. In my first quarter, I became a student ambassador, which gave me the chance to foster a welcoming environment for prospective students and their families. In the previous Spring quarter, I joined the upcoming food committee, providing feedback and actionable solutions for SCAD's lovely dining team. Even over the summer of 2023, I worked as a pre-college assistant, going full circle and aiding in the summer programs that helped me decide SCAD is the college for me. To continue supporting such an awesome community and pursuing more opportunities at SCAD, I need financial support.
