Helping Amirah’s fight to belong with her family

Amirah is 4 years old, born with a rare brain disease called Krabbe’s (KRAH-buh).

It is an inherited disorder that destroys the protective coating (myelin) of nerve cells in the brain and throughout the nervous system. In most cases, signs and symptoms of Krabbe disease develop in babies before 6 months of age, and the disease usually results in death by age 2.

Amirah is facing a battle which no child or family should face. She is extremely vulnerable and as her parents we are her voice.

Amirah has beat the odds more than once, she isn’t on life support. She is facing her challenges like anyone with neurological or rare disease.

Amirah’s mother is her full time carer.

Right now, her parents are distraught.

They are struggling to financially fund themselves to gain legal access to give their daughter some quality of life.

Not all legal teams offer no win no fee or legal aid especially regarding medical cases.

If you know anything about legal costs for soliciting and court fees, you’ll understand the immense stress we are under to meet these costs.

The battle has just begun but we need your help because without it it, Amirah’s chances are slim to live and be where she belongs, at home with us.

Our daughter is a fighter! Our warrior! Our blessing! If anyone knows she is in pain then that is us, her parents.

To reiterate, she’s not yet even near to fighting for her life and communication is very limited between us and the medical team.

We have tried many legal firms and each one has turned us away without hearing the full account of the situation.

We are heartbroken & don’t know what to do.

We have a court case due very soon but privately have to pay ourselves.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the means to afford a Solicitor or access to Private treatment/care and second opinions. Time is of the essence.
