Supporting Amelia & JD During Recovery
For anyone who knows Amelia and JD, you already know the kind of people they are. They are the ones who show up, step in, and go above and beyond to help others — often quietly, and without hesitation. Caring for people is their default setting. Right now, they are the ones who need support.
Over the past several weeks, Amelia has spent significant time in the hospital, including three hospital stays, one of which occurred during the week leading up to and through Christmas. After a long and difficult process, doctors were finally able to identify the cause of her severe symptoms.
Amelia has been diagnosed with Reversible Cerebral Vasoconstriction Syndrome (RCVS), also known as vasospasm — a condition where the blood vessels at the base of her head and neck spasm, causing intense, debilitating headaches. While the condition is considered reversible, recovery takes time, rest, and careful monitoring.
During this period, Amelia has been unable to work consistently, leading to missed income while everyday expenses continue. This fundraiser is meant to help ease that burden by covering essentials like rent, utilities, groceries, and basic living costs, allowing Amelia to focus on healing and allowing both Amelia and JD a bit of breathing room during this season.
Any amount helps, and sharing this page means just as much. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, prayers, and support for Amelia and JD during this time.
With gratitude,
Mark & Alison
