Helping Alyssa Ease the Financial Burden of Losing her Horse

Hi… I’m Angel Compton, a friend of Alyssa Pardy and her mom, Amanda. As you may know, Alyssa recently got her very own horse 3 weeks ago, after waiting 10+ years for one of her own. In the meantime, she’s been caring for many horses, teaching young riders, and instilling a love for horses in children all across our province by setting a positive example, teaching and coaching little ones.

3 weeks ago she finally got her very own horse named Sirocca.

Sadly, one day shy of Sirocca’s first month with Alyssa, she developed colic, and could not be saved, despite desperate attempts to save her.

Alyssa was so brave and compassionate… and made the decision to give Sirocca a peaceful and pain-free death just earlier today.

Alyssa is a high school student, and she has been working at Dairy Queen while attending school to purchase her heart-horse.

She took on the sole responsibility of paying for Sirocca, her transport to NL… and now, to lay her to rest… after only 3 weeks with her.

Alyssa not only had big dreams of loving and caring for Sirocca, she also knew that her horse would be her best friend and comfort, after losing her dad to an illness not that long ago.

We all know what horses do to heal our hearts when we’ve experienced pain and loss.

And in the short time Alyssa had Sirocca, she was her best friend and healer.

Sadly; Alyssa did not get a chance to spend much time with Sirocca, and she is now left still… with the cost of her purchase, and her vet bills to try to save her; and ultimately to lay her to rest.

Times are tough for everyone financially these days. But if you feel that you can contribute some amount to this child as she continues to pay for Sirocca, even if very small… every single cent will go toward Alyssa to pay for Sirocca’s short time with her… and ultimately, a new best friend to continue carrying her through her healing journey.
