Helping Ali
Spende geschützt
Since March of 2017, As a way of giving back to the amazingly strong women suffering through the after effects of chemotherapy and alopecia, I have been honoured to provide free of charge microblading to some very inspirational people. One of my very first clients was a beautiful lady named Ali Lowe. Mother of three Ali had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and was looking to have her brows microbladed before losing her hair due to chemotherapy. I was incredibly happy to perform this for her and hoped it would provide the smallest amount of happiness in what was a traumatic time. As you can see from her smile, I like to think we did just that!

Undeterred by the long and painful road ahead of her, Ali entered the salon full of hope and determination to beat her condition, not just for herself but for her young family, too. Her attitude towards every woman's worst fear was truly inspirational and helped me to put a lot of my own problems into perspective. If I had helped Ali feel more like the beautiful woman she is, she helped me more so to evaluate what is important in this life.
It was tough, but Ali fought bravely and her cancer finally went into remission! I was so happy when I heard the news, delighted for her and her family that all her efforts had been rewarded.
Earlier this month, two years after originally meeting Ali, the cancer returned and unfortunately this time its stage 4 metastatic lung, bone and node cancer, and a recurring breast tumour.
And so the aggressive chemotherapy starts again and Ali remains as defiant as ever in the face of this heartbreaking setback.
As I said earlier, Ali has helped me to realise the importance of the time we have with our families. As a mother of a young daughter myself, I know how cherished the memories of time together can be. With this in mind, I want to try and help Ali once more. This time I want to help to make the time she has with her young family as enjoyable and memorable as can be.
I am setting up a go fund me page to raise funds for Ali to spend on days out with her children to hopefully help take some of the stress out of the situation for everyone involved. As an incentive to help raise as much as possible, everybody who donates at least £5 to the go fund me page will be entered into a prize draw for either of the following:
1 Free Microblading Full Treatment worth £300 (including consultation and top up)
1 Free Full Powder Brows Treatment worth £300 (including consultation and top up)
1 Free Refresh Top Up worth £180
1 Course of 6 Express Clinicare Skin Peels worth £270
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST AGREE FOR ME TO SEE YOUR NAME, CONTACT DETAILS AND DONATION, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE TREATMENTS.
Every £5 donation will gain you one entry, so, for example, if you donate £20, that equates to 4 opportunities to win. If you are an existing client and wish to donate but do not need the treatment, this can be gifted to the person of your choice. Please be aware that the treatment will only go ahead if you are deemed suitable during the consultation. If, for whatever reason, you are not suitable, the treatment can again be gifted to the person of your choice. 100% of all donations will go directly to Ali and her children.
My brief involvement with Ali has shown me how much the little things matter. Whether that's helping a young lady retain her femininity by providing a free microblading treatment or helping someone have one more day of happiness with their family, it's important to do what we can for those in their hours of need. We can't cure Ali's cancer or make her chemotherapy treatments any less painful, but we can help to put another smile on her face.
