Helping Aiden get to the GED Clinic in Aurora, CO
Donation protected
Aiden has been diagnosed with Eosinophilic esophagitis, also known as EOE, which is chronic, incurable swelling of the esophagus. Eosinophils are a kind of white blood cell activated by an allergic reaction that attacks the esophagus. On top of EOE Aiden has also been diagnosed with alpha gal syndrome which makes him highly allergic to mammalian meats, gelatin, and common medications that could have been used to treat his EOE. He's been unable to keep food or drinks down for the last month due to chronic intractable vomiting. He is hospitalized now at St John's in hopes of placing a feeding tube to get some nutrients into his body. Aiden has been accepted to the Gastrointestinal Eosinophilic Diseases Clinic in Aurora, Colorado and is awaiting his pathology biopsies to arrive there for an appointment date. While EOE is incurable it can be treatable with the proper medications, diet restrictions, and environmental changes. Aiden and his family hope to find the answers he needs on his journey to Colorado. We are asking those who love Aiden to help support him and his family during this difficult time. All love, support, and prayers are greatly appreciated.
