Helping Ahmed and his family to leave Gaza

Ahmed Raed is now my friend and adopted family until he is safe in Cairo, Egypt. Him and his 6 family members have been repeatedly internally displaced by occupation in Gaza (Salma 16, Retal 12, Abd Al Rahman 9, Bahaa 5, Mom, Dad).

He came to me and asked me for help and I am here asking of you for the same kindness.

Ahmed is 15! When I asked what he wanted me to write here he said:

… “you make a beautiful story.”

So I’m typing these words to speak to you, to move you to action. To share this campaign, to share Ahmed’s story. To help bring him and his family to some place of safety and “normalcy.”

Ahmed has dreams, he is worthy he is human. He deserves to be heard, to be seen to be recognized and appreciated. To be safe and free from bombardment and occupation.

*Please note* currently in order to cross the Rafah border Palestinian are being charged 5-7k per person. This does not include what is currently happening on the ground. Ahmed and his family have been displaced for the 8th time since October. Each time they are displaced items may be left behind, a new tent has to be purchased. We want to share context with you to understand the gravity of the situation
