Helping After Hurricane Ian #NeverSettle

Tax deductible
Hurricane Ian, a deadly Category 4 storm, made landfall on Wednesday, September 28, bringing powerful winds, heavy rain, and a massive storm surge. It was one of the strongest storms to ever hit Florida. The death toll continues to grow (at least 10 people are confirmed dead), and it's estimated the hurricane has caused 100+ billion dollars in damage and economic losses.

But the good news is that the hardest hit communities are pulling together, and volunteers from around the country are helping victims get back on their feet. Never Settle's disaster relief partners have been monitoring Hurricane Ian and staging equipment and volunteers to spring into action. Team Rubicon and Samaritan's Purse are actively providing disaster relief services in Florida now.

This hurricane hits especially close to home for me because I have family members that live in the Tampa Bay area. Please support this campaign with any amount of money you can afford. The Never Settle Foundation will match all donations to this campaign and make sure that 100% of funds directly benefits those impacted by Hurricane Ian.

Team Rubicon
Team Rubicon was ready and waiting for Hurricane Ian to make landfall. In preparation, they staged two route clearance teams in Orlando and Tallahassee equipped with trucks, compact track loaders, a cache of chainsaws, and more. Those teams are now actively serving in Florida. They are clearing roads for first responders and helping communities impacted by Hurricane Ian. Next, Team Rubicon volunteers will help homeowners with emergency home repairs such as roof tarping, flood, and debris removal. This is just the beginning of their response and they'll continue to get volunteers on the ground in the coming days.

Samaritan's Purse
The Samaritan's Purse North American Ministries is coordinating a disaster response with local emergency management and church partners in Florida. Before Hurricane Ian ever made landfall, two Disaster Relief Units—tractor trailers stocked with equipment and supplies—were headed to Florida from North Carolina. Teams will muck out flooded homes, cut downed trees, and tarp roofs. Samaritan's Purse continues to monitor Ian as it is expected to intensify again and could strike the South Carolina coast at hurricane strength.
