Helping Addicts in Honor of David

As many of you know, I lost my little brother to opioid addiction on October 27th, 2013. His birthday is May 29th, and every year I struggle on this day. I usually spend the day alone thinking about him, making his favorite foods, imagining what he'd be doing if he was still alive, and trying to make sense of this awful tragedy. Last year, a friend of mine had a great idea to bring something good from her own loss, and I'm ready to do the same. This year, I want to raise $1,000 to donate to the local addiction clinic here in Las Vegas. I've volunteered here a few times, and it's been very therapeutic. The Harm Reduction Center of Las Vegas helps addicts by giving them clean syringe packets, free HIV tests, and the drug that could have saved my brother- the overdose reversing Naloxone. This organization does a great service to those afflicted with addiction. I'd very much like to make a sizeable donation to help keep this service funded. Alternatively, if anyone would like to accompany me to help assemble syringe packets I would greatly appreciate it! Please help me reach my goal and bring some good from the senseless loss of David's life. Thank you all.
