None of us know what tomorrow holds. None.
And for Adam Swartz, this was the case on January 29th, 2020 when he fell asleep and experienced a grand mal seizure. Paramedics rushed him to Denver Health where he soon found out after several CAT scans and MRI’s that they had discovered two large tumors in his brain. Prior to this, Adam was a healthy 27 year old that had graduated high school, then college and had no prior symptoms.
Months after his diagnosis and recuperation, with the support of his mother, father and immediate family, he was devastated to learn that he lost his father, one of his strongest support systems, to a sudden heart attack shortly after his brain surgery.
Now almost a year later, Adam is still experiencing seizures. His life changed overnight. Neurologists appointments, neurosurgeon appointments, oncologist appointments, radiation oncologist appointments are his new normal. And navigating this disease is part of this new normal.
There is a road ahead that may look and feel daunting for him, but this is a young man that has touched the lives of too many people at the young age of 28. While Adam has spent some of his days now trying to raise money for The National Brain Tumor Association through the design of his t-shirts, it is our time to support him.
This is our opportunity to help someone.
With mounting bills and expenses related to Adam’s story, he needs our help. I’ve learned- we don’t have to know someone to help them.
Please read his story, in his own words, as it was presented to the National Brain Tumor Society. And if you feel led to be a part of this story, join me in help making his heavy burdens a little lighter.
Any additional funds that are not used for Adam's medical expenses will be donated to the National Brain Tumor Society
