Helping Abby and Kirill Start a Family

Abby & Kirill met in 2014 and became happily married in Atlanta, GA in 2017. Starting a family was always part of the plan. They just didn’t know it would be so hard. Abby got pregnant not long after trying in 2018 , but suffered a miscarriage shortly thereafter. They were sad but were thrilled when they got pregnant so quickly again afterwards. Once Abby got pregnant again, they started house hunting. They found their dream home and started getting ready for their baby boy, Michael that was due in December of 2018. Abby loved spending time getting the room perfect for his arrival! She had one of three planned baby showers in early October before the unthinkable happened on October 23rd. She went into the doctor's office for a check up and was given the news that there was no longer a heartbeat. She could not believe this was happening... again and so late in her pregnancy (32 weeks). Abby was told she would need to head to the hospital to deliver her baby boy, but would also have to say goodbye to him. Traumatizing to say the least, Abby & Kirill took some much needed time off to grieve and heal.

After some time, they started trying again. Once six months had passed without any success, Abby's OBGYN told them they should head to a fertility specialist. Since then, Abby has completed three rounds of IVF. The first round and second round both resulted in only 1 viable embryo. Unfortunately, neither of them stuck. The last round did not result in any viable embryos.
We know that Abby and Kirill have been through a lot this year, not only emotionally and physically, but also financially! IVF is not cheap and to add on the anxiety of take multiple pills, hormones, injections only to end in disappointment is devastating. At the very least, we want to lighten the financial stress of their journey with this Gofundme page. Abby and Kirill have talked extensively to their Fertility specialist and agree the next best step is to use donor eggs. Her doctor, Dr Brahma, has been very supportive and truly believes that this will help give Abby and Kirill the family they so desperately want. The program she has chosen has many steps. The first step would involve her and Kirill choosing from donors on a national egg donor database. After they choose their preferred eggs, they will then be defrosted and fertilized by Kirill by method called ICSI. Any eggs that make it to day five are considered viable to transfer. The doctor will then decide which of them has the best chance of survival for implantation. That embryo will be transferred into Abby. Any embryos that remain will be frozen for use at a later date if they so choose. It is an amazing program and will allow Abby to receive all the testing she needs, the eggs of up to 6 donors, all bloodwork, ultrasounds, and medications. It will also include freezing and cryopreservation of any extra embryos. This program is $42,000 and unfortunately is not covered by insurance.
We hope that you will help support Abby and Kirill on their journey to making a family. They have decided to move forward with the donor egg process by early 2022 with the donations they receive here. If they are unable to reach the program's cost ($42K) by their start date they will move forward by financing the rest. Our wish is for Abby and Kirill to receive all the funding they need so financing is not necessary!
