Help a young man until he can find stable housing

Anne here.... with Buddha and Kermit.
Many of you know the work I did for about 7 years as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) for children and youth. One of those kids that I've worked with in the past is now a 19-yr old young man who is on the adulting journey without a family to guide him. He is unhoused and despite efforts to find a suitable place, he continues to wait. The unhoused" situation in Boston (and throughout the U.S.) is, as some would say, a shit show. It's confusing, frustrating, and inhumane. I'm trying to help this kid -- and in consulting with Buddha and Kermit, they advised I ask for $ to help this young man until a place becomes available. He's intermittently couch-surfing, staying with us (a shelter is not acceptable) and occasionally in inexpensive Airbnbs until an SRO (single room occupancy) becomes available somewhere in the greater Boston area, so this is temporary. Despite support from DCF he doesn't have enough $ to live. I'm happy to answer any general questions (offline), but I won't name him as he has a right to privacy. It might seem odd that I'm taking this step, but as Buddha and Kermit say, "ask and the universe/village will respond." with love, Anne
