Helping a Truck Driver in Need
Lauren Goede and her team driver Ty Garrison were moving supplies across the country to help stock our store shelves throughout this pandemic event. Friday morning April 10th at 5am, their truck jack knifed and went off the highway and hit an embankment. Lauren was sleeping and was thrown forward from the bunk into the forward dash. She and Ty were rushed to the hospital in Omaha, Nebraska where Ty was told he fractured a couple of his vertebrae and was fitted for a brace and told to recover in the hotel next to the hospital. Lauren was put in the ICU with 9 broken ribs with several broken in multiple places, a punctured lung and possible internal injuries. She is being monitored and stable now, but will have surgery on Monday and this will take a very long time to heal. She has insurance but even with insurance, this will cost her thousands of dollars in medical costs and lost wages.
These are tough times for many of us, but if you can afford to help, every penny will be appreciated.
Her mother and I will match the total from this Go-Fund-Me campaign.
Thank you!
