We are raising funds to help a local single mom of two who has hit an incredibly hard moment through no fault of her own.

She is an employee at a small local business and an absolute asset to that workplace. She shows up, works hard, and does what she needs to do to support her daughters. Two weeks ago, on her drive home, her car broke down. After inspection, the mechanic confirmed the transmission had completely failed. The repair estimate was $4,500, with no guarantee that additional issues would not follow once the transmission was replaced.

The mechanic’s honest recommendation was not to repair the vehicle at all, but to replace it. Today, she had no choice but to scrap the car and received $400 from a junkyard.

This has left her without reliable transportation for work or for safely getting her two daughters where they need to go.

We are hoping to raise funds to help her secure a dependable used vehicle so she can feel safe driving her children and regain some stability. We are actively looking locally for a vehicle so we can help assess options and make the process easier for her.

She does not know we are doing this. She is a private person and we want to respect her dignity and anonymity.

As a mother myself, I know how isolating parenthood can be, especially when hardship feels constant and unrelenting. When one problem piles onto the next, it can feel like you are barely keeping your head above water. This past year has been financially brutal for so many people, and I fully understand that donating is not possible for everyone. Even five dollars helps move this forward.
