Hi, I’m Dylan — a San Francisco creative who has hit an unexpected medical setback.
I love this city and have spent years supporting its creative and performance communities. Unfortunately, a series of unavoidable medical issues—combined with a layoff and limited insurance—have put me in a difficult financial position.
Over a short period of time in 2019, I broke my leg three times, which created a major and unexpected financial setback. The second break occurred during treatment due to an accident involving newer medical staff who were not under proper supervision, leading to surgery and a long recovery. I only recently came out from under that financial burden, only to be hit with another one. On top of that, I’ve dealt with a botched dental filling, a root canal, and now require a significant amount of oral surgery.
Asking for help doesn’t come easily to me, but between the current job market, the reality of our healthcare system, and the cost of living in San Francisco, I’ve reached a point where I can’t do this alone.
If you know me, you’ve probably seen me out supporting local art—at Oasis, tipping drag performers (often including my partner), and showing up for the people and spaces that make this city vibrant. I believe deeply in community and in giving back whenever I can.
Like many creatives, I’m already balancing student loans and rent, and on top of that I’m now facing significant medical bills. This fundraiser isn’t about giving up—it’s about getting through a temporary setback so I can heal, stabilize, and continue living and contributing to the city I love.
Anything you’re able to give truly helps—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page. I’m incredibly grateful for the support and fully intend to pay it forward.
Thank you for being part of my community. ❤️
