Helping a Queer Refugee in an emergency need.

Hello my name is Eloïse and I live in France. I created this donation page to help someone I met through instagram and is now a friend. I was touched by their stories and now I'm trying to help by doing this page ! Here's their story :

My name is Wonder, and I’m a queer refugee who has been chased away from five countries — Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and now South Sudan — just for being who I am.

Each time I fled, it wasn’t because I wanted to start over. It was because my life depended on it. I’ve faced violence, arrest, betrayal, and rejection — simply because I’m queer. In a world that should be more accepting, I’ve only found more walls and fewer doors.

Now, I live in Gorom Refugee Camp in South Sudan, a place many have never heard of — but where many queer people like me are trying to survive the unthinkable.

Even here, queer refugees live in fear — of violence, discrimination, and neglect. Many are homeless inside the camp, sick without medical care, and silenced by a system that doesn’t see us. But I refuse to stay silent.

Despite my own trauma and hardship, I’ve become a voice and advocate for my LGBTQ+ refugee siblings. I help connect people to support, speak out against abuse, and organize safe spaces where we can feel human again.

But I can’t do this alone.

This fundraiser will help:

• Provide emergency food, shelter, and medical aid for queer refugees in crisis

• Support safe gatherings and advocacy within the camp

• Help me secure legal and relocation support for those most at risk

• Allow me to continue being a beacon of hope for those who feel forgotten

I’ve lost homes, countries, and people I loved. But I haven’t lost my fight — and with your help, I can keep going. Please stand with me and my community. Your support isn’t just charity — it’s solidarity.
