Kimberly is 49 years old, married with two children Tyler is 15 and Tyra is 13, Kimberly has been working as a hairdresser for 12 years at the same salon (Alicia Hair Nails and Spas) in Mission Viejo, Ca.
On May 30th of 2019 she was working a brush she was holding in her hand slipped out of her hand, Kimberly tried to bend down to pick it up, but she could not , because she had a stroke, Kimberly started to fall down but some of her co-workers noticed something was wrong they caught her before she fell to the ground. Immediately one of the employees called 911, the paramedic came and took her to the Saddleback Memorial Hospital Laguna hills Ca.
Kimberly was admitted to the ER then to ICU later on that evening, that was when myself Steve (spouse) and the children knew that Kimberly won't be coming home for a while. The doctor told us Kimberly's had two blood clogs in the brain, one they could salvage one they could not, which now Kimberly's left side of the body is paralyzed.
Kimberly now is doing rehab. She was the main source of income for the family, we are struggling with finance, I, myself had been off from work for more than three weeks try to take care the children and been going to visit Kimberly whenever I have the time to give her supports. We are just asking for any kind of help just to get by until Kimberly can get back to 50%, 70% or better we are all praying and hoping for the best. Kimberly is now unable to stand up on her own and her left arm is disabled.
Kimberly is a very hard worker, she sometimes worked through the day without stopping, or even take a break to get a drink or a bite to eat, to me that was why she was under a lot of stress, that build up every day plus she had medical complications to go along with the stroke.
We planned for the summer to take a short vacation but it was derailed by all this. The children were expecting to be rewarded after a long and hard work at school, for Tyler Kimberly was going to rewarded with a desk top computer and Tyra with some computer games the children will have to wait.
Before all this happened, it was in March of this year that Kimberly had a car accident, which she total both cars the worst was she was at fault, Tyler was in the car with her he broke one of the front teeth by hitting his face on the dash board, a lot of medical cost for the two incidents that happened to Kimberly.
We are urgently need help, with the funds it can help Kimberly's medical cost, her lost wages, since she is self employed, everything is coming out from our own, with the funds they can help the children in the summer with tutoring summer classes, and other needs.
At the same time I have been missing work since the day Kimberly had the stroke which was on May 30th of this year, and yesterday June 25th Kimberly was discharged from the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Tustin, that was the good news, but the doctor orders that Kimberly needs to be watched 24/7, since she had fell a few times at the hospital. I had volunteered to stay home to care for her and help her with the therapy. I probably won't be going back to work soon.
It will take some time for Kimberly to recover.
With the funds we can help Kimberly with the therapy, medical expenses, medicines, we want to help Kimberly get back on her feet as soon as possible.
