Helping a homeless artist

Donation protected
Well, as we all know, life is hard and takes some rapid turns sometime.  Michael and Angela Koerber are hard- working, good people who got by just fine for most of their lives.  Michael is a very talented artist, whose work ranges from portraits to innovative found-object art.  Yet, due to a combination of health problems and the economic downturns of the past decade or so, Michael and Angela have been homeless for about ten years now (and living on the street for about six years since their car broke down).  Yet, despite their heart-breaking circumstances, Michael and Angela help others on the street, especially helping the newly homeless to cope with their changed circumstances.
Can we who are blessed with steady incomes give them a hand in this critical situation?

Thank you so much!

Below please find the Press Democrat article:
In Petaluma, a rain culvert serves as this homeless artist’s gallery

And please come to the benefit concert arranged by friends and great
musicians!

We were pretty successful with raising money for Michael at the concert and more than half of Michael's arts were sold. We have collected an additional 5,000 dollars! Thanks a lot to all the generous people who made it happened. We also received direct donations  sent to the Monastery. God  bless all people that are helping.

Before I was going close the campaign, I was asked to provide  more information about myself and the fund usage.

Here are the questions and my answers to them:

1.    Who you are and where you’re from.
My name is Sergei Moroz. I'm  an engineer , living in Calistoga and working in Santa Rosa. I was born in Belarus. Now  I have been a California resident for more than 20 years.
If someone wants to ask me direct questions, please use my personal email: [email redacted]

2.    Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for
I know Michael and Angela through the nuns of Holy Assumption Monastery in Calistoga. They met Michael and Angela on a street in Petaluma, where he was selling his art. I  also came there one day to meet with Michael  and Angela personally.

3.    How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)
The plan is to rent a studio or apartment where Michael and Angela may live and Michael can paint. We are in a process of locating inexpensive housing in Petaluma area. If someone knows available options, please contact me at my email above.

4.    Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies
I'm personally withdrawing the money from this campaign. We are combining funds and placing them in a dedicated account held by Holy Assumption Monastery. The first withdraw for the amount of $8,784.06 was transferred by me into this account .
Funds will be disbursed from this account once a suitable place is found.
