If you’re part of the romance community, you probably know Nichole Rose. She has spent years sharing stories of love, hope, and self-acceptance with readers. Through her body-positive romances, she reminds people that everybody is worthy of love and happiness.
She’s the kind of person who’s always there for everyone else — the author who cheers others on, organizes projects that raise money for charity, and gives her time and heart freely. She’s one of the good ones.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Her husband — who she affectionately calls BOM (“The Boss of Me”) — has been fighting an incredibly rare and serious condition called GATA2 Deficiency Syndrome. Fewer than 1,000 people in the world have it, and BOM is one of only five known cases with his specific genetic variant. Because of that, his doctors are learning right alongside him, hoping what they discover will help save him and others in the future.
GATA2 attacks his bone marrow and immune system, leaving him with almost no ability to fight off infection. His care has taken them from UAMS, to MD Anderson, and now to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where they’re preparing for a possible transplant. If he’s cleared, they’ll have to relocate for 6–9 months so he can undergo and recover from the procedure.
Through all of this, Nichole Rose has kept doing what she always does — taking care of others, sharing love through her books, and staying strong for her husband. But the costs — medical bills, travel, housing — are overwhelming.
This GoFundMe is our chance to give back to someone who’s always given so much.
Every dollar helps cover:
Travel and temporary housing near NIH
Medical expenses not covered by insurance
Living costs while she steps away from work to care for BOM full-time
If you can, please donate and share. And if you pray, please keep Nichole and BOM in your prayers as they fight this battle.
❤️ From all of us who’ve been touched by her kindness — thank you for helping us lift her up now when she needs it most.
