I am a friend to a woman I've known many years. A mother of two, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Funny, smart, kind, loving, compassionate, carefree, and, most importantly, a woman that takes no s*** from anyone or life. A truly wonderful woman in any and every way.

My friend, Meg, is a single mom. She just found out that it's time to get a double mastectomy due to, unfortunately, hereditary breast cancer. Of course, like everything else she does in life, she's taking it head-on, no fear, carefree, and with a great outlook.

She has no idea I'm doing this. She wouldn't want me to because she doesn't like a fuss made on her behalf.

I'm out to raise $3300 for Meg so she can get a chest tattoo after her mastectomy. She does not want to get new breasts, but she knows that getting a mastectomy tattoo would make her happy. As a single mom of two girls, she does anything and everything for them. Spare money for a large-scale tattoo isn't a priority. She does so much for her kids and her family, it's time to do something for her.

If I had the money, I would just give it to her to do. But alas, I don't, and that's okay. Of course, I have some spare cash to contribute to this, but I want to make sure she has a say in every detail of what she wants to do and be able to do it without worrying about cost. I know this is something that would make her very happy, but also, would ease the mental and emotional pains of the loss she will experience.
