Helping a friend get a job in the UAE
Donation protected
On behalf of a friend I Camrynn am posting this .
Hi, my name is Job Naya, and I’m a Ugandan model and content creator chasing a dream that’s bigger than my current circumstances. After five years working abroad in hospitality — from Qatar to Bahrain — I came back home with nothing but my phone, my vision, and the hope that I could still rebuild.
Now, I’ve been given an opportunity to move to Dubai and pursue modeling full-time — something I’ve dreamed about for years. But while the dream is big, the reality is harsh: modeling jobs in Dubai often pay one to two months after you’ve done the work. That means if I want to make it, I need to survive the first month on my own.
I’m asking for your support to help me raise 5,000 AED (~$1,360 USD) to cover the basics for my first month:
• Transport: Metro, taxis, getting to castings and gigs
• Groceries: Daily meals to stay energized and focused
• Skincare essentials: Because in modeling, your face is your resume
• Staying online: I use my phone to create content, share my journey, and build visibility that could lead to bigger opportunities
Normally, I’d sell my phone to raise money. But it’s also the one tool I have to keep creating, keep telling my story, and keep growing my audience. Without it, I lose the only platform I’ve built — and the only way to be seen by the people who might believe in me.
I’ve tried setting up fundraising accounts, but platforms like GoFundMe don’t even operate in Uganda. So I’m here, trying one more time, betting on people who understand what it means to start from zero and still choose to rise.
Your donation isn’t just helping me move — it’s helping me keep my dream alive long enough to make it real. If you can’t donate, a share means the world too. Thank you for reading this and for believing in second chances.
With love and gratitude,
Job Naya
