A Little Help While I Find My Wings after the war took my Career
Hi Yall ,
I never thought I’d be making something like this, honestly. For the past several years, being a flight attendant wasn’t just how I paid my bills — it became part of who I am. Since 2019, airports, early mornings, delays, tired passengers, random laughs at cruising altitude, and constantly being on the move became my normal life. I gave a lot of myself to this career, and I was proud of it.
With the Spirit Airlines shutdown, that stability disappeared almost overnight.
One minute I had a career and a routine I understood, and the next I was trying to figure out how I’m supposed to cover rent, bills, groceries, and life in general with no real transition period. It’s been scary, humbling, and emotionally exhausting in ways I don’t even fully know how to explain yet.
I’m not sitting still — I’ve been applying for jobs nonstop and exploring every option I can. The hard part is that finding something quickly that actually pays enough to survive right now has been tougher than I expected. My basic monthly bills are around $3,000, and at the moment I simply don’t have the backup income to keep up while I try to rebuild.
So this is me asking for help.
Not for luxury. Not for vacations or anything extra. Just a little breathing room. A chance to keep my head above water long enough to land on my feet again.
My hope is to raise enough to cover about 3–4 months of basic living expenses while I transition into my next chapter. Whether that ends up being back in aviation or somewhere completely new, I’m determined to figure it out. I just need a little support getting there.
